Lindleinsmühle is one of the 13 administrative districts of Würzburg, and is also an area with its own character. On the basis of a decree by the city council in 1961, the relatively new district in the northeast of Würzburg was created on mainly open land then at the edge of the city and directly linked to the once independent community of Versbach.
The name of the district goes back to one of the three mills (‘Mühle’ in German) on the Pleichach river - Straubmühle, Neumühle und Lindleinsmühle. The Lindleinsmühle mill was destroyed by the bombing of Würzburg on 16 March 1945 by Allied bombers. Today there is a multi-storey building in its place on the Schwabenstrasse.
The "Lindleinsmühle" restaurant was famous for many years in the Lindleinsmühle district and in Würzburg. In May 2008, Roswitha Hollerbach, the proprietor, gave the "Lindleinsklause” a new identity as a Café, Bar and Restaurant, with attached skittle alley
Following the complete renovation, the new "Lindleinsmühle" now invites you to enjoy our hospitality in a new fresh ambiance.
Your host, Attila Schröder, presents his compliments and looks forward to greeting you.
